Zach Sloane, Principal

Zach Sloane is a Principal at Triangle Consulting Group. He is focused on collaborating with his clients to support company objectives. In his professional career of greater than 20 years, Zach has experience in providing financial leadership, guidance, and support for his clients. Although Zach has experience in many industries, his past 10-plus years have been spent in the Clinical Research Organization industry servicing the top CROs in the world. During this time, Zach has furnished support by providing interim Business Unit CFO services, leading key data initiatives, providing guidance around investigator payments, supporting merger activities, and providing project management around key corporate strategic business initiatives with great success. During his consulting career, Zach has also led teams in operational accounting, implemented compliance reporting processes, provided SOX support, provided internal audit outsourcing services, and giving clients general financial guidance.

Prior to his tenure as a consultant, Zach spent approximately 5 years at Deloitte in the audit and assurances group with a client base in manufacturing, retail and mining industries. After that Zach spent approximately 4 years at Duke University Health System FP&A group. During that time Zach managed the annual Financial Health System plan and performed evaluations of capital acquisitions for the Health System.

Zach attended North Carolina State University earning both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters in Accounting. He holds his CPA certificate in North Carolina.

Christine Perciaccante

Christine Perciaccante, Principal

Christine Perciaccante is a Principal at Triangle Consulting Group. Christine has over 20 years of management accounting experience working for public and private companies in a variety of industries including Utilities, Clinical Research Organizations and Banking.

Christine has been with Triangle Consulting group since 2013. Throughout her time as a consultant, she has been providing consultation and advice to financial management at a variety of clients primarily related to special projects, regulatory reporting oversight, and general accounting needs. Although she has experience in many industries, her past few years have been spent in the Utility industry providing rate case and other regulatory support for electric utilities in North and South Carolina.

Prior to her consulting career, she spent 13 years at Progress Energy working in various roles including leading the Rates and Regulatory team which was responsible for all State and Federal financial regulatory reporting filings for the electric utility. She also led the SOX Compliance team which was responsible for the SOX 302 and 404 Certification processes for a $10 billion company. In addition, her experience included general accounting, financial forecasting, and budgeting of over $1.5 Billion in operating and maintenance expenses for two utilities. Prior to her time at Progress Energy, she also spent 5 years at Wells Fargo as an Assistant Vice President providing
financial management support for the Operational Services Executive Team, as well as two years with Lockheed Martin working on financial analysis for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Carl Thompson, Principal

Carl Thompson is a Principal at Triangle Consulting Group. During his years as a consultant, Carl has led risk assessments for multi-billion-dollar clients, led Sarbanes-Oxley implementations for developmental stage companies, provided SOX consulting services for Fortune 500 companies, led deficiency and material weakness remediations, led due diligence and financial integration projects, and led and developed teams as an Interim Controller and Interim VP of Finance. In Carl’s interim financial leadership roles, he successfully reduced the financial close process for a client from 13 days to 7 days, managed external audits with no audit findings, reduced deferred revenue and aged AR balances by several million dollars while experiencing double digit revenue growth, and successfully outsourced payroll for a client, resulting in significant annual cost savings.

Prior to his consulting career, Carl spent more than four years at Ernst & Young working on both public and private clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and financial services industries. He then joined Progress Energy where he spent 17 years working in various roles including Mergers and Acquisitions, Subsidiary Controller, and Manager of Internal Controls and Compliance. In his compliance role, Carl managed the SOX Compliance team as well as the SOX 302 and 404 Certification processes for a $10 billion company. He was also a Finance Manager for Cisco Systems in RTP prior to 2016. Carl is a Certified Public Accountant and received his undergraduate degree (Accounting) and graduate degree (MBA) from Appalachian State University.

Tom Moore

Tom Moore

Tom Moore is a long time consultant with Triangle Consulting Group. During his years as a consultant his experience has been in providing Interim Controller services, SOX consulting services and specialty projects support, advice and implementation. These include implementation of new accounting standards for Measurement of Credit Losses; Lease Accounting; and Revenue Recognition, in addition to IFRS conversion, Equity Compensation Accounting and Valuation and Purchase Accounting and Impairment Analysis. Prior to his tenure as a consultant, Tom spent his early career in the audit and assurances group of Deloitte with a client base of manufacturing, retail and financial services. Following this Tom took on roles as Chief Financial Officer of a software start-up to establishing the Internal Audit group for a billion dollar publishing company and then managing financial operations for the company’s online operations.

Tom attended Wake Forest University earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He holds his CPA certificate in North Carolina.

Naudain Machen

Naudain Machen is a seasoned consultant at Triangle Consulting Group. She has been a consultant for seven years and joined Triangle Consulting Group in 2021. Her consulting career has been focused on helping clients fulfill a need – whether that be assistance with SEC filings, lease accounting implementation, special projects or corporate accounting. Her clients have been in the technology, retail, insurance and manufacturing industries. Naudain tries to “work herself out of a job” by assisting with client training for her assigned role, creating/improving documentation of the workflow and suggesting process improvements.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Naudain had eight years of public accounting experience followed by over 20 years of industry experience. She started her career at KPMG, eventually rising to Senior Manager in the Audit Department while working on audits of governmental entities and public companies, primarily banks. Naudain’s industry experience began in banking and she spent 12 years at CCB Financial Corporation before it was ultimately acquired by SunTrust. While at CCB, she was responsible for SEC and management reporting, corporate accounting and public company activities such as stock repurchases, dividend payments, etc. During her time at CCB, the company had multiple acquisitions and she assisted with merger accounting and transitions/integrations of financial records. She was part of the team responsible for the company’s successful listing on the NYSE and even designed the company’s stock certificate. She then joined Progress Energy where she spent 9 years focusing on SEC and management reporting. While at Progress Energy, in addition to other process improvement projects, she led the project to implement XBRL for reporting to the SEC and the company was an early adopter of the new reporting requirement.

After Progress Energy was acquired by Duke Energy, Naudain was heavily involved in preparing and filing Duke Energy’s initial joint Form 10-K for seven registrants. Naudain is a Certified Public Accountant and received her undergraduate degree (Accounting) from Virginia Tech.

Steve Schmidt

Steve Schmidt

Steve Schmidt has over 20 years of public accounting and industry experience including roles as Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller and Controller.  Steve’s background includes private manufacturing as well as multi-billion dollar life science and CRO companies.  Steve excels in financial reporting, treasury, FP&A and controllership roles and is experienced in areas such as inventory valuation, sales & use tax, internal controls, project accounting and audit management.  In addition, he has successfully led post acquisition financial integration projects, including large scale financial system implementations and GL conversions.  Steve is also experienced in both building and leading high performance financial teams.

Steve holds undergraduate degrees in both Business Management and Accounting from Gordon College in Wenham, MA.

Joanne Phillips

Joanne Phillips is a seasoned financial leader with a passion for building teams focused on integrity and transparency. She brings extensive experience in accounting, finance, tax, SOX & audit obtained through both industry and public practice.

Joanne’s background includes serving clients as a Tax Manager at Ernst & Young before beginning a career in corporate accounting. Her extensive experience includes roles as a Director and Sr. Director over areas such as Policy & Governance, Consolidations, Financial Reporting, SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and Risk Management for multi-billion companies across several industries. Joanne has also served as a Controller for privately held software companies where she led M&A efforts and worked directly with private equity investors. In addition, she has led both internal audit and risk management functions for a $3 billion software solutions company. As a compliment to her strong finance and accounting background, Joanne is a dynamic communicator with an acute ability to message difficult technical and strategic finance concepts to diverse audiences.

Joanne is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of North Carolina. She attended the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada where she earned a Bachelor of Mathematics with a concentration in Accounting.

Brianna Flynn

Brianna Flynn has over 13 years of experience supporting and managing finance and treasury functions, including her most recent position as Controller of the Treasury Accounting team for a Fortune 100 technology company. Brianna’s areas of expertise include financial analysis, forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, share based compensation, private equity accounting, derivatives, foreign exchange accounting, debt and investment management and accounting, as well as financial system implementations. In addition, Brianna has experience leading high performance teams and managing
high profile financial projects.

As a consultant, Brianna has most recently provided internal audit outsourcing and SEC compliance consulting for Triangle Consulting Group. Brianna has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.

Andrew Harris

Andrew Harris has over 20 years of experience working in both public accounting and in senior leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies. His industry experience includes roles as Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Finance and Business Administration, Manager of Metrics and Analysis, and Manager of Business Performance. Andrew has led high-performance financial teams and is very experienced working with executive leadership on key financial initiatives. Andrew excels at complex financial projects, data analytics, risk assessments, SOX advisory, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A complex accounting transactions and corporate strategy.

Andrew holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from BYU and an MBA from North Carolina State University.

Beth Bailey

Beth Bailey brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance management and controllership positions. Beth’s experience includes roles such as Manager of Financial Accounting, Manager of Financial Reporting & Consolidations, Shared Services Controller, Director of Accounting, and Controller. Beth specializes in creating and leading high performing accounting and shared services teams to provide best-in-class deliverables while maintaining a strong controls environment and meeting necessary compliance requirements.

Beth is a Certified Public Accountant and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

David Leete

David Leete has more than 20 years of experience leading public and private companies providing technology solutions and healthcare services.
 
David embraces a metrics-oriented approach to management, identifying business drivers and optimizing their performance to drive profitability and growth. He brings excellent financial management skills, a solid grasp of risk management practices, and a proclivity for data analysis to develop teams in finance and operations. He acts strategically and is a proponent of cross-functional collaboration to meet organizational objectives.

Roger Harding is a valued accounting and FP&A specialist with extensive experience in financial modeling, cross functional project management, asset management, budgeting, forecasting, expense control and supply chain management. Roger has experience leading diverse financial teams at multi-billion-dollar companies. In these roles, Roger implemented innovations that significantly reduced repair costs and quality issues across his company resulting in over $100 million in cost savings. Roger specializes in consulting projects requiring project management, research, accounting analytics, and issue resolution for our clients.

Roger is a Certified Public Accountant and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Accounting, Finance and Business Management from the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University.

Laura Stone

Laura Stone has extensive Controllership experience and has successfully developed and led high performing accounting and finance teams. She specializes in continuous improvement and driving efficiencies in accounting processes, such as monthly financial close and shared services functions. She has led financial system implementations as well as many successful audit and tax initiatives. Laura is a driven project manager and a great communicator and problem solver for her clients. Prior to joining Triangle Consulting Group, Laura spent 4 years at Deloitte and 15 years at Capital Broadcasting in Raleigh.

Laura is a Certified Public Accountant and holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University.

Tony Proctor

Tony Proctor is a results-oriented leader with proven success across multiple industries. His background includes working with private equity businesses, leading multinational finance operations, coordinating large complex financial projects and managing diverse cross-functional teams. Tony has special interests and knowledge in financial and management reporting, systems implementations, private equity, mergers & acquisitions, SEC Reporting and financial and operational metrics. Prior to doing consulting, Tony spent 11 years in senior management positions, including 6 years as a Chief Financial Officer.

Tony is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Campbell University.
